Even as summer break begins, students in Sherrard’s FFA program are still hard at work—digging into hands-on learning and giving back to the community in the process.

Pending board approval, the Sherrard School District has tentatively selected Dan McGuire to lead the high school football program, effective immediately.

As the 99 seniors of Sherrard High School’s Class of 2025 crossed the stage and stepped into their futures, they were sent off with words of wisdom from two very different perspectives—one from a hometown hero who’s served on a global stage, and the other from one of their own.

Cheers rang out in the hallways of Winola, Matherville, and Sherrard Elementary Schools as our graduating seniors walked the halls one last time — this time in caps and gowns.

Sherrard High School senior Karter Amos was recently surprised with a $2,000 scholarship to Midwest Technical Institute (MTI).

Four Sherrard staff members were honored as April Employees of the Month by the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education, ROE—and we couldn’t be prouder!

The Red Cross Club held its annual spring blood drive today, bringing students and staff together to support a lifesaving cause.
